I’m a qualified, integrative counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).
The type of counselling I offer draws upon a number of different theories and techniques, such as person centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy My way of working is influenced by these schools of counselling and is tailored in a unique and individual way for each person that I enter the therapeutic process with. This means the counselling that you receive will be tailored to what works for you. It’s very much a collaborative process.
The counselling that I offer is for adults on a one to one basis, this takes place in the heart of Warrington town centre in a warm and welcoming environment.
I work with adults only. I specialise in working with males, and also people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities.
As a man that has experienced his own personal difficulties over the years, I can certainly understand the stigma attached to a man opening up about how he feels, and feeling comfortable to do so. It’s essential that we overcome this attitude that exists so that people can access the help they need.
I’ve studied culture and identity extensively and have an interesting in working with such minority groups within society.
In addition; I can speak moderate Punjabi if you would find this helpful please let me know.
As I’m a member of the BACP I adhere to the Ethical Framework and the professional conduct within it. This can be found on the BACP website at: www.bacp.co.uk
